Christmas Prayer Letter 2020

The Immanuel Prophecy – Christmas Presence, Hope Promise Healing Deliverance Redemption

“The virgin will conceive and give birth to a Son, and will call Him Immanuel (God with us)”. (Isaiah 7:14)

“His Name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace”. (Isaiah 9:6)

Jesus came into our broken world to rescue us from our sin and give all who put their faith in     Him a new and vital relationship with God.  God drew near to us through Jesus so we could know Him personally and be with Him forever.  His loving presence with us is the greatest gift of all.

Dear Friends,

Thank you for your faithful prayers and support!  When we first sat down for lunch with the previous directors of GNOM some years ago they told us the first thing to expect in camp ministry is change, we believe this is the foundation to all ministry.  No one on earth could have predicted the changes the world has experienced in 2020.  We can praise the Lord that He does not change, nor does the Gospel of Truth change.

As we prepare for 2021, a new year; a new season, there are still many unanswered questions and uncertainty in every direction.  In order to effectively carry out the work we’ve been given we need to change and adapt in order to bring the good news to the world.  The year 2020 has been a great season of prayer, asking, seeking and listening for God’s leading with His work at GNOM.  As we look up in prayer, we wait upon the Lord.  We pray His will be done in His work with our First Nations People.

A prayer of guidance, Psalm 5:1,3.  Give ear to my words Lord, consider my meditation.  My voice you shall hear in the morning, O Lord; in the morning I will direct it to you, and I will look up.

The Hebrew word translated “Look up” means to wait expectantly, and has a military connotation: A soldier presenting himself to his commander to receive orders, or an army set in battle array on the field.  As we look forward, may we look up with great hope & joy for His many blessings yet to be revealed.  God is in control; He has a plan and it is Good!  Believing is seeing.

Merry Christmas, Happy New Year, Be Blessed in Jesus Name,

James & Rhonda
